Hello and welcome.
I'm Noni a former JW who left after being born and raised in.I hope you really take the time to learn what the JW's are all about before you get baptized.Once your baptized then they have the power and if you mess up your mom and sister will have to shun you. Also look forward toward a life of never being good enough and being judged based on how many hours you put in field service. Not on how you are as a person. Also look forward to being dropped like a hot potato once you do get baptized because then no one can count time for studying with you.
The friends you make at the KH are fair weather friends. They will not help you if you need help. They will just tell you to go out in service more and pray more your not spiritual enough. If you have children watch them carefully.Child molesters are not turned in to police and the elder keep it quiet so as to not tarnish Jehovah's name. They have plenty of child molesters in the congregation. One was even arrested at Brooklyn bethel last year for giving naked pictures to young boys asking if they would have sex with him.

I'm new here.
I became a JW at 23. Left a few years ago. 90% of the "friends" don't talk to me now. A few true friends still do.
I'm not bitter as I feel right in leaving.

Great post noni1974! Nothing like bringing out the positives about JW's. (sarcasm intended) noni1974 wrote: Also look forward toward a life of never being good enough and being

This statement is a bold faced lie!
That is the only reason why we take the time to teach the bible to people, to put a number down on a time slip. That is SO ridiculous. Could it be that our main concern is helping people to understand the truths of the bible? Concern for those newly baptized does not end when they are immersed. For example one year after one is baptized the elders are to see how they are doing, do they need any assistance, any problems, and so forth. That is on top of any assistance that can be given in the bookstudy. How about focusing in on the good things that occur in the congregation for a change. Believer 123 if you want to know what JW's are all about I suggest you stay away from sites like this. Most have an ax to grind and you will get only half truths. I hope you continue with your studies and grow in your relationship with God.

I've been around alittle bit noni and I can truthfully say that a person is not judged by the amount of time that they put in the service each month. If that was truly the case with you (and that was the only reason) then some elders need a talking too. The Watchtower for today made the point that it is hard enough trying to serve God today without the criticism's of our brothers and sisters. We do what we can. That is between us and God, and he appreciates what we can do, no man has the right to judge otherwise. As for being a fake witness I ask that you prove that I am. You and others are the ones that label this site as "apostate." I just check it out to see what is being put out to unsuspecting ones as "truth."

Oh yeah I was born in with all of my uncles and grandfather elders in the same hall.I know what is said behind peoples back about how much they go out in service.Believe me you are being talked about when you are not around.
And Witness do mark people as not being spiritual enough.Ever hear of bad association??I have. They mark you for being weak in the "truth".They stay away from people when they should be helping them.
This is an apostate board.I am an apostate and your talking to me.Which shows your lack of respect for Jesus's headship over the governing body who made up that stupid rule in the first place. Now repent and go tell your elder what you've done.

Welcome believer, if you decide to come back, you can ask any questions here, unlike the KH where questioning will be frowned upon.
